...Naturally

Then two more.  In no time, the locals returned.  Janel remembered that the psychologist wanted a variety in gluten baked goods.  The yoga people wanted a healthy lunch – a variety of salads.
“Oh my gosh, I love this.  A window seat.  And a cushy one at that? the petite woman said.
She loved the assortment of throw pillows.  It was a good place to curl up and read.  Or visit over coffee.  They even offered lattes.
She was a regular.  Liked to start her day with coffee, a walk and errands. Often she could be found sitting outside.  Joined by passers by who ultimately ordered food, too.
Everyone commented on the front door sign.

“Welcome. Thank you for putting your cell phones on vibrate and for using inside voices.  We’re glad you are here!”

Janel had standards. The bathroom must be immaculate at all times.  Floors cleaned several times daily.  And Senior Coffee on Wednesday.  That meant a small free cup.  One per customer.  The policy would be enforced. And lots of free samples throughout the day.  Everything would be offered in a small size.  This, she remembered from other cafes that closed.
