Tick Tock: Six

They were up early to get to the federal courthouse.  A Chevrolet Suburban whisked them into the underground garage.  A SWAT team stood at the ready.  Kelli was uncomfortable in the flack jacket and hoody she was wearing couldn’t wait to get them off.  After the women’s restroom was cleared, two female officers accompanied her inside and helped her remove the jacket.
Paddy waited outside with the SWAT team.  They lined the entrance to the packed court room as Kelli was escorted inside.  She was dressed in casual clothing, befitting a marine biologist.
“I’d like to call Kelli Hennessey to the stand,” the officer said.
Kelli was duly sworn in.  She lowered her right hand and stepped up to the witness box.
A prosecutor dressed in a Brooks Brother’s suit moved toward her.
“Can you tell the court what you found?”
“I found the bottle marked in Exhibit A.”
She went on to explain the bottles, keys and notes.
“And this zip drive was inside the safe deposit box?” the defense attorney asked.
“Yes it was.”
The defense attorney had little to say as she was a mere passer-by witness.  The real story was what was found on the zip drives.
“Well, then you are excused.”
Paddy escorted her out of the courtroom.  She was no longer a risk.
