At the end of two years, a year from now, I will be moving on. Destination - who knows? I won't be in the old people's home. Nope. I am not old. Old is a state of mind.
The sign out front says this is an 'active community.' I am not sure what part of the marketing meets the criteria of 'active' but these white haired folks are sedentary. Lots of nursing assistants, home care aides, oxygen companies are here each day.So does the ambulance. It is old. Everything about it is as well. It smells old.
A dear friend reminded me of the double infinity. It is the unity of two things coming full circle. A perfect balance between partners. Shoulder to shoulder. Inter-dependent. Intertwined.
Nope, not doing an old people's home next fall. I'm doing a double infinity. Somewhere. It's part of the journey home.
