These are trying times for sure. The story lines are not new. The powerful steal through laws they create and the populace stands by and allows it to happen. Some of us actually stand up. Sometimes incremental changes happen but for the most part, it is business as usual. Citizenship requires participation.
Finding the beauty in our daily lives requires participation, too. It requires balance, perspective, humor. How often have we missed an opportunity to breathe in a scene like the one above? How often have we left our homes only to go outside angry, frustrated, bored? We all participate in this. Otherwise we wouldn't know it so well.
It is a cool, cloudy day in seacoast New England. The flora is full of color and I am more than grateful for my family and friends. I am grateful to my readers for taking the time to stop by.
