When the focus is power and greed,the goal is always to deceive.The military does this, the media does this, the corporations do this.  Money matters.

When was the last time an editor allowed a journalist to tell the whole truth?

Every once in a while, an editor stands up. When they do, they care more about the truth than they do money or their jobs.  Unfortunately, that is not usually the case.  The media survives because they are owned by large corporations.  The corporations tell them what to print.  If advertisers don't like what the media spews, they remove their ads.  Ads pay the bills.
