Memphis Belle

Today, while surfing the television, I saw the film, Memphis Belle listed.  It brought back memories and I would like to share them with you.

Many of you know I took flying lessons.  My plane, a Cessna,  was nothing like this.  A number of years ago, I saw a replica of the original Memphis Belle, which I am told, is the one in the photo below.



The Andrews-Murphy Airport had an air show and I couldn't wait to go.  Always fascinated with aviation, this particular model was intriguing.  I won't spoil the ending of the film, but what happened was magic!

The pilot allowed anyone willing on this very hot day to climb around inside the plane. It is enough to give even the non-claustrophic person...claustrophia.
